1. Nature of Risk

Trading financial instruments is inherently risky. Prices move continuously in response to information, capital flows, policy changes, and macroeconomic conditions. Past price movements do not predict future price movements; favourable historical performance of a strategy, model, or asset class is not a guarantee of comparable future performance.

The use of AI-assisted automated trading does not eliminate market risk. Algorithms operate within parameters; market conditions can move outside the range under which a parameter set was calibrated. When that happens, even a well-engineered system can produce drawdowns larger than recently observed averages.

2. Suitability

Trading on the Quantum AI Platform is appropriate only for individuals who understand the nature and risks of financial markets, who can afford the loss of the capital they commit to trading, and who have considered their broader financial situation, investment objectives, and risk tolerance before participating.

Trading is not suitable as a primary income strategy, as a substitute for retirement planning, or as a vehicle for capital that you cannot afford to lose. Treat trading capital as a discrete portion of a diversified financial plan, not as your entire financial plan.

3. CFDs and Leverage

Some instruments accessible through the platform are leveraged derivatives such as CFDs. Leverage amplifies both gains and losses. Adverse market moves can result in losses that exceed the initial margin posted; margin-call procedures and stop-out levels are designed to bound such losses but do not eliminate them in fast-moving markets.

Spreads, financing charges, and overnight rollover fees apply to leveraged positions. These costs reduce realized profits and contribute to drawdowns when positions are held for extended periods. Read the product specification for any instrument you intend to trade before opening a position.

4. AI and Model Risk

The signal engine on the Quantum AI Platform is a neural-network model trained on historical data. Models are fitted approximations; they reflect the regimes present in training data and may underperform in regimes that differ structurally from those observed historically. The platform employs regime detection and a risk gate, but no detector is perfect.

Model performance is reported as a backtest in marketing material on this website. Backtests are simulations and not reflective of live, contemporaneous trading results. Live performance can and does differ from backtested performance for reasons including slippage, fees, fills, and behaviour that emerges only in interaction with current markets.
